It’s now time to count the blessings…yes indeed, Earth+Style operations in the Netherlands has no way to go but UP!!! How could this be possible considering that we have just started our operations in just six, yes, six months ago?   It could not be true, but yes, it is!  Joy Tan-Basilio, Global Network Consultant and I love to look back at how we officially started in February 2005… from the time we first set-up our display booth at the Philippine National Bank in Amsterdam… to the series of road shows and open houses that we have done… to the opening of Earth+Style office in Doorn… to our participation during the Philippine Independence Day Celebration in Spaarnwoude. 

And speaking of road shows and open houses, we are glad to note that as of this writing, the calendar of activities of the International Program Organization of Earth+Style Corporation is fully booked due to numerous requests from interest parties all over Europe for site trippings… you read it right…. EUROPE!  Yes, Earth+Style is flying high in Europe… France, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, United Kingdom…. And Earth+Style Family in Europe is growing &  expanding to be able to reach the Filipino communities in Europe.

Our Choice….

As a Dutch-Filipino married couple of almost 25 years, we were looking for an affordable place to retire and for sure it would be in the Philippines. It's reputation of hospitality, friendly people, relaxed atmosphere, available medical   assistance at reasonable fees were a plus too. Jubilation New Biñan  is well located in Laguna and NAIA, Manila, Tagaytay, Alabang  can be easily reached. The detailed information given by the Earth+Style office in Doorn and the variety of excellent well edited brochures, the efforts taken to give us any information and assistance we asked for, made us decide to buy a lot in New Biñan to build a bungalow. During the whole process, communication with Doorn office and Manila HQ was excellent.

That's why Nene & I are looking forward to our retirement in 2010.

Earth+Style…… A Developer I can trust

I learned about Earth+Style through my regular visit at the office of the Philippine National Bank.  There I met their representatives, who invited me to join one of their open houses in PNB.  The concept of Jubilation New Biñan was properly explained and with the video presentation, I learned a lot about the company and all the choices that one could have at Jubilation. Earth+Style, you have my trust!

My Fulfilled Dream……

A personal friend invited me one afternoon to listen to an Earth+Style project presentation.  I learned all about the choices that one has at Jubilation New Biñan.  I requested for a site ocular inspection for members of my family back in the Philippines…… they were happy with what they saw, so am I.  It’s really near the NAIA. A house in the Manila area has always been a big dream for me…… with Villagio di Xavier in Jubilation New Biñan, it’s now a fulfilled dream!  And I personally look forward to seeing Jubilation New Biñan during my home visit next year.

The team headed by Rhoda “Dang” Feliciano-Sazon is tasked to carry out the international plans and programs of Earth+Style Corporation.  Being the head of the team, Dang is in-charge of the overall sales management and marketing of Earth+Style projects and coordination with Global Marketing Managers.  Property Consultants Nani Abundo, Jane Cayetano, Nap Sunga and Tyra Rabaya are the “Project Experts”.  They provide tripping services and project information to buyers or buyers’ relatives.   They also provide tripping updates to Global Marketing Managers as necessary…. And finally,  Apol Pagpaguitan completes the link by providing the administrative services for the entire team. Linda is one of the pioneers in marketing Earth+Style Homes and Villages in Europe. She started marketing Earth+Style in France in September 2004…… from then on, it was all go, go for Linda.  She enjoys travelling all over France to meet with the Filipino community and offer them Earth+Style lifestyle products.  Aside from being a Global Marketing Manager for Earth+Style, Linda is also a respected entrepreneur in France. Go, go, go Linda… continue to conquer Europe!

Fe is the latest addition to the Global Family of Earth+Style…  She went home to the Philippines with her husband to see for herself the lifestyle homes and villages of Earth+Style.  Aside from being a Global Marketing Associate for Earth+Style, Fe is also a part-owner of LBC in London…. Welcome  to the Global Family of Earth+Style, Fe!

Mitch is what you call a “Johnny come lately” in  the field of marketing. The only experience that she has about marketing is during her MBA studies at the De La Salle University.  More inclined to working within the four walls of an office, Mitch finds marketing a welcome change in her lifestyle. She started offering the lifestyle home & villages of Earth+Style for the BENELUX region only in February of 2005.  As a Global Marketing Manager she also looks into expanding into other countries like Austria and Germany.

Leonora or “Nheng” is an Earth+Style client from the UK who saw the potentials of marketing Earth+Style lifestyle homes and villages in Spain.  In the months of June and July 2005, Nheng joined the Global Network Consultants for a series of road shows in Spain.

The article below is written by an Earth+Style client.  The author expresses his opinion about the Philippines and Earth+Style….

Why on “Earth”choose the Philippine “style”…..

In the Netherlands we are down to "earth" and we do not care so much about "style".  Style is important as long as it is cheap, good quality, cheap, functional, cheap and not expensive. My first acquaintance with the Philippines was a “peoples-meeting”. I met a Filipino man years ago through a colleague and since then we are very good friends. I did not know anything about the Philippines, only they have very beautiful women ( I saw a few in an Amsterdam 5-star hotel, where I was working many years ago and these ladies were staying there.) The second thing I knew, that the country was somewhere in Asia. Although I was in a few countries in Asia before, the Philippines was not in my system, I simply did not think about it.  Through this friendship with this Filipino-friend, Roderick is his name, I heard a lot about his country, his family, the system, the time with the former president Marcos, his successors, the American bases, school, education, nature, hot spots and ....... houses.

So, I was invited to a specialist in real estate, at the office of the PNB in Amsterdam. In The Netherlands, when I go to a bank, the approach of the bank personnel is always official, serious, private and business-like. So, my eyes fell almost out of my head, when I came to the PNB, everybody was very friendly, shaking hands, say welcome, it was full of people, personnel and clients,  Filipino food and drinks came on the table and in the middle of this all was sitting JOY!!!

Joy is the representative of Earth & Style. During our conversation I noticed Joy is not a representative., she "IS  Earth and Style". She told me everything about types of houses, land, pesos, payments and contract, very fast, in less than two hours I was totally brainwashed. I thought it over a few days, and then I telephoned hurricane Joy again. I decided to go to Manila to see it with my own eyes. I bought a plane ticket and asked Joy to assist me with some simple practical things like a hotel, "not too expensive, I am Dutch, remember".  So, somewhere in April this year I went to Manila. 13 hours flight, tired, I came at the airport, there was a Filipino band playing happy music, that cheered me up. I felt happy immediately, my first steps on Filipino earth, with Filipino style.

During my stay everything was well prepared,  I saw all the projects, the people at the office were very helpful, the time was very well used. Everything, what Joy told me in Amsterdam, was better on the spot in Manila.  Thanks to  Roderick I made my view over the Philippines practical and enjoyed the people I met there, the restaurants, the life style, the weather and my new nice little tiny condo I bought in Manila.  Thank you, Earth and Style, Joy, Dang, JT and all the others for helping to find my own way in the Philippines.

EARTH+STYLE OFFICE IN DOORN, NETHERLANDS

On the second day of Pentecost,  May 16, 2005, Earth+Style Office in Doorn formally opened its doors  to the Filipino community with a simple office blessing officiated by Rev. Fr. Rolly Yaco, SVD.  The official blessing ceremony started at 11:00 a.m.

Present during the occassion were Consul Noel Servigon from the Philippine Embassy, Mr & Mrs. Frits and Cici Hillenaaz; Mr. Robert & Annelis van der Brekel; Mr. Roderick Jimenez; Mr. & Mrs. John and Linda Elkins from Paris, France; Mr. Fernando Rubio, PNB Netherlands; Ms. Mary Jane Rivera-Voet; Ms. Ana van Ast and Ms. Gina Dominguez.

The office of Earth+Style in the Netherlands is located at the business and commercial center in the town of Doorn.  Office address is Amersfoortseweg 14 (van der Stap & Kesler Accountants bldg) 3941 EM Doorn.
